I don't know why, but I was compelled to make granola over the weekend. I got this urge and HAD to make it. I'm not even a big granola/trail mix kinda person, although I am married to the crunchy-granola type. I didn't do a lot of searching for recipes. I simply googled "granola recipe", found Alton Brown's version and made a batch.
Mark loves it and I'll tell ya, for a person who's not a big granola eater, I am enjoying this stuff...maybe too much! I wish it were more clumpy though, anyone know the secret to making clumpy granola?

Mmmmmm, your granola does look yummy! But if you're looking for a clumpy granola, my friend gave me THE BEST granola recipe a few years ago. It is definitely clumpy due to the honey, butter and brown sugar that binds it together. I posted it on my recipe blog:

i heart alton brown. and totally forgot i promised you my own recipe! lol. it's not clumpy either tho.
looks yummy!
I was going to suggest a syrupy goo would make everything stick together and more clumpy. Your granola looks yummy but I might need to check out Bonnie's link. Oh and now I have Neil Diamopnd in my head.
I've been making this granola for months & it gets clumpy. I pour it in a bowl with some soy milk for breakfast. Yum!
Martha's granola
Yum. I love granola--but, only on occasion, because, you know, I'll eat the whole thing in a matter of seconds. Lovely.
Hey, I need some advice! (you'll be so proud) I'm finally breaking down and buying a sewing machine. I have decided that I really want to get back into/expand my sewing knowledge and I need something to do besides watch TV. So, as a pretty much beginner, what do you recomend? I don't need anything fancy, but, I want something that works. Any thoughts on what kind of sewing machine I should get?
OK,that was long!
Hope you're having a good day!
