I am giddy! After years & years of hauling paint, beads, scrapbooking and other supplies to the kitchen and making a complete mess for the world to see, I now have my own crafty space! Woo Hoo! No more will I have to wait around to be creative because I don't want to "mess up" the kitchen! I have an entire room--in the back of the house no less--that I can mess up all I want! And really, now that I have started sewing, I needed a space. So, the new space is the room in which the computer lives and where Mark does all his ebay biznez, but was also a spare bedroom. I will miss the comfy twin bed with the groovy 60's headboard that was in the room, but honestly, I'm pretty sure Mark and I can live without three beds! We don't have that much overnight company and I'm not sure I could have made it much longer without a sewing/craft area!
Now, for the tour of the new sewing-scrapbooking-jewerly making-ebay-home office-blogging room...
This is the computer area. Thank goodness for the doors on the cabinet. There's a ton of junk residing alongside the old imac!
My craft table! An early birthday gift from my parents. It's a computer desk, but I think it's a great size for sewing and I like that even though it is big, it doesn't seem to take up a ton of room because of all the glass. I'll still have to cut my fabric on the kitchen counter, but I don't mind that since my countertop is nice and roomy. Although it's a small room, there is still plenty of space on the right side of the table for some type of storage unit for fabrics and such. I'm thinking a cabinet with wicker basket drawers from Pier One might be nice there...something I can close. I like to have all that stuff handy, but don't want it piled up in plain view, unless it could be done in an organized arty-farty way. Any suggestions?
Here we have the view leaving the room. I'd like to find a teeny futon to put on that teeny wall. I really have thing for both tropical and retro style decor. The two are sorta lumped together in this room. Not sure it's working just yet, but not sure what to add or change.
A little more show and tell...some fabric for making pillows for the green chair and a sewing machine cover, my scant collection of craft/sewing books, something my cat likes to sleep in and some randomness for Rhonda.

I love that desk, I have wanted that same glass one forever but alas still stuck with the kitchen bench, coffee table, anywhere theres space to craft right now.
The coffee table was my space of choice for making jewelry before this! I could watch TV and string beads for hours without moving! Ha! Don't know where you've spotted this desk, but we found it at Big Lots for just 100 bucks!
Okay I have been a little busy lately but have found my porblem and am looking to have surgery next week. I have missed so much on the blog and haven't done a thing on mine since my first post. I would say hopefully next week before surgery but I am sure I will be trying to get things ready at school. I love the randomness for rhonda sections they always leave me cracking up. Very cute! Hope you make lots of great creations there!!! And...it doesn't look small to me at all, but then again -- my craft room is a total of 35 square feet. LOL
