Does this make me a junkie?

Wicked book. Wicked, wicked book! Look what my favorite new book has caused me to do! Go out and spend money...on a boat load of tea towels and some place mats no less! Very recently, I would have spent money I didn't have on clothes, things for the house, CDs, DVDs and the like. And now I'm spending it on stuff like this! What has happened to me?Darn you Amy Karol and your Bend the Rules Sewing! Did you somehow know that I become obsessed with my craft du jour and would end up fabric addicted after only three projects? Oh, all right, here's the important point in all this silliness...tea towels or not, these are fantastic prints AND they were all on sale! One dollar or less, EACH! What to do, what to do? Make aprons? Bags? Try something new? Actually use as (gasp) dish towels? Hmmm...

You should totally try the Charming Handbag. I'm a fairly inexperienced sewer and mine worked out fine -- I don't think I had to rip a single stitch. In fact, it's the first fabric bag I've made. Plus it's small, so if you do mess up, you haven't wasted too much fabric.

I must remember that. We must look outside the square for neat fabrics. I love all the food/fruit. They are usually more sturdy for bags or totes.
Thanks you will turn me into an addict too.
See my blog for my placemat purse. It was sooo easy.

Those are beautiful! Would you mind sharing where you bought them?

Heck No, Amy! I don't mind sharing at all! I got these at my local K-Mart! They're all Martha Stewart and they were marked down to 4 bucks a set! Some had four in a set, others had five. I think I'm going to do a tote bag out of one of the fruit patterns!

Happy Hunting!
