Here She Goes Again...

Yesh...Back on the Weight Watchers Wagon once again!

I didn't announce it on the blog but I turned 40 on the 6th of August. Gasp! I'm SO what I used to think was old. Now that I'm here, it's not so bad after all. However, the weight, which is a constant and never ending struggle with me has once again taken over. I know that I am now at the point in life where taking off pounds only gets more difficult. And this extra 30+ pounds I'm packing around...it's got to go y'all! Who wants to be forty and fat? Not me!

As I've mentioned before, WW is the one and only diet that I've ever been on that I've had success that lasted for more than a few weeks. My problem with WW, however, is that I am a slacker. I hate. hate. hate. to write down what I eat. Exercise...I actually enjoy it but as you notice if you read through this blog, I don't stick with it for long.

So what's different this time around? Not Much. I can say with all certainty that I will slack off at some point w/the journaling and I'm still probably going to wiener out on exercise occasionally(just keeping it real, folks).

But I when I do slack off, I'm going to get over it quickly and start right back up again!

I've been all over bloggyland tonight looking for some inspiration. I've found a few sites and I'll share those at some point.

For tonight, I'll mention the Looking Fine in 2009 challenge that I came across on The Daily Mish Mash. Looks as if there are several of us in blogworld who are like minded and are on the path to better health! Yay! You can head on over to the site for all the details of how to join in.

I'll do my best to post a weekly update following my weekly WW meeting.

For tonight I just want to go on record saying that I am ready to give it a go. A real one.

Wish me luck, y'all!

I am so sorry I missed your birthday! Good luck with WW! After you lose the 30 lbs, we will get you on WNTW so you can get new clothes for your new bod.

Good luck with it! I'm turning 30 in April and I think any 'milestone' birthday is a freakout. Mine is a combo of the sudden appearance of a LOT of grey hairs and the ton of weight I have put on since I met Dave. Not to mention him gaining weight...he looks like his baby is overdue LMAO! Maybe I'll join the Looking fine thing. And happy 40th!

Eric and I both just joined the online Weight Watchers about two weeks ago (not quite). It's going well for us so far. I'm just hoping that we can keep going over the long term!

good luck w/ WW... my sis and i are on a quest to lose a lot of weight as well... i hate the cycle of weight gain/loss! altho it's been only gain since having kiddos.
ps you dont look 40! and i mean that in a good-not-hating-on-40 kind of way! i am thinking in particular of your legs from your skirt shot... i'm not 40 and your legs are nicer than mine, LOL!

I turned 30 in July and I decided to start back on WW today. I have already done my exercise for today and since I walk my daughter to school, I'll already be out there so, I hope that will make it easier for me. I know it sounds horrible, but, I don't want to go back to the actual meetings until I lose the 10lbs I have gained in the last 4 months since I left. Also, I'm unemployed so, anything I can take off by myself will save me that much money. I'm going to check out that site you listed, looks like a good one!

Thanks for joining me in this challenge. I hope that we can help to support and motivate each other to get healthier.

I'm totally the opposite of you. I love writing down my food but hate exercising. Hate isn't a strong enough word for how I feel about it.

Good luck with WW. I have done the points before and lost weight on it. I think it is one of the only diets that can work for the long haul because you can eat whatever you want, just in moderation.

Happy B'day!
I have a friend who lost 35 lbs on WW and loved it. She cheated all the time and never exercised. The only time she was true to the diet was breakfast and dinner. She ate whatever she wanted for lunch. She also ate naughty snacks. I know because I sat next to her and we used to laugh about it!

Happy WAY belated birthday!! My gosh.

Way to go on WW! My work has a WW group that meets weekly and I always tell myself I'm going to sign up, but, I can't justify the time away from the office... even if it is to take better care of myself.

I signed up for a race in December and that has kept me on the working out bandwagon because I know that I don't want to finish dead.last (um, I've done that before).... But, I've been sick this week, so, haven't gone to the gym and have been living off carbs and gummy bears because that's the only thing that sounds good...

Good luck!!
